It is free because the version of this that would have helped me at twenty did not exist, and the version that did exist cost money I did not have. Every guide, every tool, every chapter of the book and every answer the AI gives is free to read and always will be. There is no account, no paywall, no upsell waiting three pages in, and nothing here is timed to expire so that you buy something.
It stays free three ways, and all three are visible on the site. Some gear links pay a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you — we only point at gear we would actually use, and the free option is always listed first. There is a tip jar, which nobody is required to use. And there is an email list, which costs you nothing and helps more than either.
What we will never do: sell your email, run ads that follow you around, recommend gear we do not rate because the commission is better, or claim a shortcut we cannot show you. If a thing costs money and there is no free way to do it, the page says so plainly. A deadline is a fact, not advice — and so is a price.
If this site has been useful and you are ever buying gear anyway, walking through our door keeps the lights on. If you are not, take everything you need regardless. That was always the deal.
